1. About these terms and us

These terms govern your use of the VestraPath website and, if you are admitted, the VestraPath programme. Please read them before you apply. By using the website or applying, you agree to them.

VestraPath is a trading name of [Company legal name], a company registered in England and Wales with company number [company number] and its registered office at [registered office address]. In these terms “we”, “us” and “our” mean that company, and “you” means the person using the website or taking part in the programme. “The programme” means the VestraPath career-preparation programme described in section 4.

You can contact us at [contact email]. Our Privacy notice explains how we use your personal information.

2. Using our website

You may use the website for lawful purposes only. You must not:

  • try to gain unauthorised access to the website, our systems or other users’ accounts;
  • introduce viruses or other harmful material;
  • copy, scrape or collect content or user information by automated means without our written permission;
  • use the website in a way that is unlawful, misleading or harmful to others.

The information on the website is general guidance on careers. It is not financial, legal or personal career advice. We try to keep it accurate but cannot promise it is always complete or up to date. We may change or withdraw parts of the website at any time. Links to other websites are provided for convenience, and we are not responsible for their content.

3. Applying and admission

Applying is free. You apply by completing our entrance assessment and giving us the information we ask for. You must give accurate and complete answers and complete the assessment yourself.

After you apply, you will see an instant snapshot of your results. A person at VestraPath then reviews your application and tells you our decision within 48 hours [confirm how this is counted, for example working days or hours]. The snapshot does not decide the outcome on its own.

Admission is selective and is not guaranteed. We may decline an application, and we will tell you the outcome and, where we can, the reason. If we offer you a place, a contract between you and us for the programme is formed when [you accept the offer and pay, confirm]. If we find that information in your application was false or misleading, we may withdraw the offer.

4. The programme

The programme prepares you for one of five UK banking roles. It includes:

  • a personalised roadmap for the role you are preparing for;
  • a coach who supports you through the programme [confirm number of sessions and format];
  • reviews of your case-study work;
  • skill assessments that show your progress;
  • a certificate when you complete the programme [confirm completion criteria].

The programme lasts [programme length] and you will have access to it for [access period]. [Confirm what is and is not included.]

We do not guarantee a job. VestraPath prepares you, but we cannot promise an interview, an offer or a place at any bank. Employers make their own decisions. Our certificate records that you completed the programme. It is not a regulated qualification, and it is not endorsed by any bank or university. [Confirm the position on the Royal Holloway pilot and any endorsement.]

5. Fees and payment

The fee is one payment of £[price] [inclusive or exclusive of VAT, confirm], due after you are admitted and before the programme starts. There are no other charges unless we tell you before you pay.

Payments are taken by our payment provider, [payment provider]. You must pay within [payment period] of our offer, or the offer may lapse. We will email you a receipt.

The price you see when you accept the offer is the price you pay. If we change our prices, this does not affect a programme you have already paid for.

6. Your right to cancel

If you are a consumer, you have the right to cancel within 14 days, without giving a reason, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. The 14 days start on the day after the contract is formed [confirm].

To cancel, tell us clearly before the period ends, for example by emailing [contact email]. You may use the model cancellation form [link to model cancellation form] but you do not have to. We will refund what you have paid within 14 days of the day we receive your notice, using the payment method you used.

If you ask us to start the programme within the 14 days and then cancel, you must pay us a fair amount for what we have already provided up to the point you told us. [Describe how this amount is calculated and when access to digital content begins, as approved by legal review.]

[State any refund or goodwill policy that goes beyond your statutory right.]

7. Your account and conduct

Your account is personal to you. Keep your login details secure and do not share them. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.

When you take part in the programme, you agree to:

  • be honest and treat your coaches, staff and other participants with respect;
  • not record, copy or share programme materials or sessions without our permission;
  • not use the programme in a way that is unlawful, abusive or disruptive.

If you seriously or repeatedly breach these terms, we may suspend or end your access (see section 11).

8. Assessments, reviews and certificates

Assessments and case-study reviews only help if they show your own work. You must complete them yourself and must not pass off someone else’s work as yours. [Confirm the policy on the use of AI tools in assessments.]

If you do not pass an assessment, you may retake it after [15] days. [Confirm how many retakes are allowed.]

Feedback from coaches and reviewers is their professional opinion and is meant to help you improve. It is not a prediction of the outcome of any application. We may withdraw a certificate if it was obtained dishonestly.

9. Intellectual property

We, or our licensors, own all rights in the website and the programme materials, including text, assessments, roadmaps and design. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use them for your own preparation. You must not copy, resell or share them except as these terms allow.

You keep ownership of the work you submit. You give us a licence to use it to deliver the programme to you. We will use it as an example for others only if you agree and it is anonymised. [Confirm.]

10. Our liability to you

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your legal rights, including that services must be provided with reasonable care and skill.

Subject to that, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or of our negligence. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, for events outside our reasonable control, or for any loss of a job, interview or other opportunity, as we do not promise any particular outcome.

[Legal review: confirm whether to include a cap on total liability, and its amount.]

11. Changes, suspension and ending

We may update these terms, for example to reflect changes in the law or in the programme. We will tell you about significant changes before they take effect. Changes do not affect a programme you have already paid for unless the law requires them.

We may change the programme content and format where this improves it or is needed for good reason. We will give you reasonable notice of any significant change.

We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly breach these terms, or if we have to by law. If we end your access for a reason that is not your fault, we will refund the fees for the part of the programme you did not receive. [Confirm.] You can stop at any time, subject to section 6.

12. Complaints

If you are unhappy with any part of our service, please tell us at [complaints email] so we can put it right. We will acknowledge your complaint within [number] working days and aim to reply fully within [number] working days.

If we cannot resolve it, you may be able to use an alternative dispute resolution provider. [Name of ADR provider, if any, and how to contact them.] This does not affect your right to go to court.

13. Governing law

These terms, and any dispute or claim arising from them, are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you may bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales or, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in the courts of that country. Otherwise, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
